A brushless DC motor is known for its efficiency and durability. However, it can only perform well if it is manufactured using high-quality parts and top-tier engineering. We at Brushless Motor are one of the best brushless DC motor manufacturers in the USA. We have been building motors since 1998 with an eye on quality, efficiency and high performance. With our consistent track record of delivering the finest motors for more than two decades, we have established ourselves as one of the most reliable brushless DC motor suppliers in the USA.
What is a BLDC Motor?
A Brushless DC (BLDC) motor is also called an electronically commutated motor (ECM) or synchronous DC motor. It operates by using direct current (DC). For controlling the rotation of the motor, they employ electronic commutation instead of mechanical brushes. As they do not have physical brushes like the other motors, they are called brushless motors. These motors are known to be high rpm high torque motors. A BLDC motor typically has the following components:
Stator
Rotor
Electronic Commutation
Hall Effect Sensors
Brushless DC Motor Controller
Types of BLDC Motors
Brushless DC (BLDC) motors are available in different types and you can buy them from us based on specific application requirements. Primarily, brushless DC motors can be classified into two categories:
1. Outrunner Motors: These motors come with a stationary core that has windings (stator) along with a rotating outer shell (rotor) that has permanent magnets. Outrunner motors produce high torque and are frequently used in situations where high torque needs to be generated at low speed. A few applications that these motors are used in are drones and RC aeroplanes.
2. Inrunner Motors: Inrunner BLDC motors are quite different from outrunner motors in terms of their design. They have the rotor located inside the stator core. Moreover, the rotor has a shaft that extends from both ends. These motors provide high RPM (revolutions per minute) capabilities. They are heavily used in applications like electric bicycles and small electric vehicles.
Global Brushless Motor Suppliers
We specialize in supplying motors to clients in North America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. Our brushless DC electric motors are also supplied to buyers in Australia and Canada. We have a large number of buyers across the globe who are completely satisfied with the quality of our products. The motors are manufactured in our own factories. We customize our products as per the requirements of our clients and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction in each order.
The Benefits of Using Brushless DC (BLDC) Motors
BLDC motors are chosen for various applications due to their advantages over traditional brushed DC motors and other types of electric motors. Here are some reasons why you might choose BLDC motors:
Greater Efficiency: BLDC motors provide higher efficiency, which means less energy is consumed along with low hit generation. Therefore, BLDC motors are ideally suited for battery-powered applications.
Durable: BLDC motors have a longer operational life when compared with brushed DC motors as they don’t have brushes that are prone to wear and tear. Therefore, maintenance and replacement costs are reduced when using BLDC motors.
Lower Electromagnetic Interference (EMI): BLDC motors do not generate as much EMI as brushed motors. Therefore, they are suitable for applications where electromagnetic interference is not suitable.
Precise Speed Control: BLDC motors offer more accurate speed control and also deliver better performance at different speeds consistently.
High Torque-to-Inertia Ratio: The torque-to-inertia ratio of BLDC motors is high, which means they can deliver a significant amount of torque in relation to their size and weight. Therefore, they are ideal for applications requiring high torque in small spaces.
Our Manufacturing Process
We purchase the motor parts upon receiving orders from our customers. We produce the stator and rotor and test both units before final assembly. Later, we test the assembled brushless motor before sending it to our customers. We are extremely careful in the manufacturing process and perform rigorous testing at every step to ensure that the motors we deliver work exactly as intended.
Quality Control for Every Motor
We are a seasoned veteran in the BLDC motor domain and have received all the necessary certifications such as CE, ISO 9001:2015, and IATF 16949. We also conduct frequent internal and external audits to ensure there is no negligence in the motor manufacturing process. As a result, our motors are always assembled correctly and perform exactly as intended. We also inspect motors at every stage. Some of the inspections that we conduct are Incoming Inspection, Stator Inspection, Rotor Inspection and Brushless Motor Final Inspection.
Common Applications of Brushless DC Motors
BLDC motors are high torque and high rpm DC motors and can be used in the following application:
Throttle controls
Fuel pumps
Oil pumps
Anti-lock braking systems
Disk drive servos
